Çocukların Limyrası /The Children's Limyra
I volunteered three seasons in a row between 2013-2016 with Dr. Martin Seyer who is the head of ancient city of Limyra excavation site from Australian Archaeological Institute and Prof. Dr. Zeynep Kuban who is the co-founder of “The Children’s Limyra Program”. The main idea of program was to bring the villager children together with several design activities. We actualized that project in Limyra Ancient excavation site, which is located in the south of Turkey, Antalya. “Çocukların Limyrası-The Children’s Limyra” was a project aiming to provide awareness to children about their creativity in the surrounding of the unique site of Limyra’s architecture.
I carried out ‘sound and rhythm’ workshop with my other tutor friend. We designed our musical instruments all together with materials from home and nature.
It was a valuable experience that think and create with children in the context of ‘sound and rhythm’.
